Description:
The assignment aims to provide banks, Morocco-s Bankers Association (GPBM),relevant banking regulators, the private sector, Regional Investment Centers(CRIs) and policymakers in Morocco with the relevant information to understand,identify and leverage CE financing opportunities in the country. Specifically,it will: · Benchmarkglobal practices and regulations that stimulate CE investment, identifyingtriggers - policy, financial, and market mechanisms - that led to the adoptionof CE financing in various regions, including emerging economies, and the pre-requisitesfor an ecosystem to move towards CE.· Quantify the publicand private investment needs required to develop CE supporting infrastructureand upgrade industrial sectors in Morocco, with particular emphasis on SMEs andlarge enterprises (top-down approach).· Assessthe demand for CE financing and estimate the market potential for banks inMorocco to introduce a new CE financing product, through a bottom-up approachthat will leverage enterprise data and expert opinions. By focusing on these goals, the study will estimate theCE financing opportunity in Morocco - broken down by sector, firm size,geography and potential regulatory scenarios - and recommend actions to buildthe CE ecosystem and enable the creation of a new product offering for CEfinancing in Morocco.
