Description:
Expression of Interest are invited for Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD) and Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) for the Region of Guelmin - Oued Noun (RGON), Morocco. IFC recently signed an Engagement Letter with Region Guelmim-Oued Noun (RGON or the Region) to facilitate IFC financing by identifying and assessing potential projects being considered by the Region. The RGON IFC project (#ID 606113) aims to identify gaps in terms of the Regions capacity and ability to implement selected projects. The potential infrastructure related areas identified include improve infrastructure services in two ports facilities via upgrade and rehabilitation (Tan-Tan Port and Sidi Ifni Port). The main purpose of this assignment is to determine the E&S risks associated with the two sub-projects and install a management framework to assist the client in identifying and addressing E&S risks. IFC is therefore seeking the services of an Environmental and Social Consulting firm to: i. Characterize the risk of the projects to be financed by way of Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD) process, and ii. Develop an Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) to support the development of the projects that may be supported by IFCs financing.
